Where I grew up in northeastern PA, we frequently saw black bear crossing the meadows, in the woods, and collecting apples from a wild orchard that borders the yard. Now, fracking has changed the balance, and we don't see the bears at all. We do see 1000% more truck traffic, tap water that you can light on fire, and face the possibility of man-made earthquakes.
