The beautiful fish that once flooded Cambodia's waterways — a source of culture, cuisine, preservation — now gone. Fisherman no longer catch but farm. The food that once marked my parent's childhood is but a more distant taste . . . salted, smoky, pungent. fish, bones picked clean, oil still sticking to the fingertips.
