When I was little, my older 9 siblings and I loved to play in our backyard on summer nights. Our backyard would be filled with little bright lights flying around and we would scramble to catch as many fireflies in our hands as we could, before releasing them back into nature. As I became older, and my siblings came home to visit during the summers, we realized that we didn't see as many fireflies anymore. I was lucky if I saw maybe four or five every night.
