Personal memory by Kaylee Gahagan

Growing up, my house was right up against a small part of the Mill Creek Metroparks, and I remember my friends and I going into the woods and building forts, having "beach" days, swimming in the creek, etc. Whatever storms changed the way the woods looked, we watched nature adapt, and so we did too. Whenever there was litter, we cleaned it up. Countless companies tried to develop it, but the community never budged. The woods will forever be a part of my childhood, and part of the community.
