“Six years ago I lived in Machu Pichu and every time I woke up I could see the cock of the rock which is the national bird of Peru. I always saw the male and the female, but nowadays you can’t see as many as before, especially the males. I think that one of the main reasons for this was the helicopter that arrived to Aguas Calientes. Due to the terrible noise, the birds would fly away.”
