Growing up visiting Cape Cod every summer I swam freely in the ocean. Over the past six or seven years I have noticed the impact of a resurgence of sharks to the coasts of the Cape. On one hand, this is the story of successful wildlife conservation: the sharks are no longer being hunted to near extinction. On the other hand, the sharks and seals coming close to the shore and harbor areas are both a danger to humans and in danger.
