2017 CE • Interlochen Center for the Arts, J. Maddy Parkway, Interlochen, MI, USA
When I went to this arts camp in 2017 the concert dress code meant wearing long corduroy bottoms, either knickers or pants. You also wore a red sweater over your uniform polo. Less than ten years later I worked there as a counselor and the camp has decided it's too hot to mandate this uniform anymore. In Northern Michigan where the lake affect always kept our mornings chilly and our days moderate, even late into August----the lake can no longer compete with the warming climate. The iconic Interlochen look is changing. Unfortunately, I'm ignorant of what this means for the wildlife in the area. I can't imagine it's anything good.
