Personal memory by McKenzie Murphy
2015 • Long Island, New York, USA
I grew up on Long Island, New York. Only fifteen minutes from Long Beach, where the boardwalk fees were always free. However, due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy in 2012 there has been massive reconstruction to both the beach and the boardwalk. There have been many changes such as the elevation of the boardwalk and an increase in sand dunes all of which are a constant reminder of the power of mother nature.
