As a child, I grew up in a financially privileged atmosphere which allowed for a large backyard during my growing up experience. I would lay out on the grass watching the flora and fauna in an intimate setting and luxuriate in my own imaginative narrative. Nowadays my own residential neighborhood offers few opportunities for kids to enjoy a backyard experience as we are being shoved into apartment complexes and industrial landscapes.
