Personal memory by Nora McDowell
2011
I remember the trees that were cut down in Troy, NY River Front Park. Now there are only war memorials and cement. We will have 6 war memorials and no children's playground. This is what happens when we view the Hudson River as an entertainment zone rather than a habitat and a living part of Troy's downtown neighborhoods. It is in the midst of a redesign, that included fake public participation meetings. I'll miss the trees and hills in the summer and the feeling of Narnia with my kids in the winter.
