Personal memory by Wendy Watson
1965 • South coast of New South Wales, Australia
When I was young I used to dig for pippies with my family. We used to get a bucket of large fat juicy pippies which my mother would soak in water, wash them, then cook them in soy and ginger. Yum! Many years later I returned to Longbeach NSW only to find there were no pippies. I've tried to dig for pippies in other coastal regions in Australia, however I haven't found any pippies.
