My parents used to always take me to these lakes in my city. I loved to play around the park and go fishing in these lakes as a kid. However, as I got older returning to my favorite fishing spots got harder. I slowly started to notice that the lakes were receding! Little by little, the lakes would start to dry and wither away. This was the habitat of many different fish and animals. Many people in the community realized that this was a problem and didn't want to see the towns favorite lakes parish. The recovery process started and lasted for almost ten years. Water was slowly added back to the lake and finally things were on their way back to normal.
